X-Ray Vision

Dentist using X-ray vision to diagnose in our Toronto dental clinic

… isn’t just for superheroes! Our state-of-the-art x-ray equipment, or dental radiographs and digital photographs of your teeth and gums, help us make the most accurate assessments of your oral health.

When you schedule an initial examination for your first visit, it will include x-rays. These pictures allow the dentist to do a thorough evaluation – tooth-by-tooth. We want to uncover any issues that go unseen by the naked eye, such as cavities and bone loss.

Any dental prevention plan must include teeth x-rays. Including x-rays in your healthy dental program lets us identify any small problems before they become big ones, such as tooth bone loss.

Digital X-Ray

At Parkview Dental, our focus is entirely on YOU – the patient. That’s why we incorporate digital x-rays – helping to keep you safe. They emit less radiation than traditional methods.

Dental x-ray radiation is reduced by 80% when they are digital x-rays, much less radiation than other types of dental x-rays. Without the use of film or processing chemicals, digital more safely provides the dentist with a clear image almost immediately.

While it may not necessarily be better quality than a film image, many dental practices are switching over to digital x-ray technology to help minimize radiation exposure.

Benefits of digital x-ray imaging include:

  • Results within seconds

  • Electronic storage and ease of digital transfer a specialist or the patient

  • Image enhancement to better inform a diagnosis

You’re safe in our hands!
