To our valued patients,

During such challenging times, we hope that you and your family have been well.

Since June, we have returned to scheduling appointments and continue to practice extensive precautionary measures to ensure the safety of our patients and team members.  As per the infection control procedures set by The Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario and The College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario, as well as health regulations set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Toronto Public Health and Public Health Ontario, we are fully compliant.

We have modified our appointment procedures since reopening and are taking other precautionary measures to provide safe dental treatment. Our procedures are outlined below.

Before your appointment:

  • Prescreening of patients for COVID-19 symptoms and possible contact with persons who are COVID-19-positive.

  • Required documentation (new patient registration forms, for example) gets sent to you electronically for completion.

  • We are limiting time spent in our reception area. If there are any changes to your contact or insurance information or if you have questions for the receptionists, please provide them before coming in for your appointment.

Upon your arrival:

  • Screening patients for COVID-19 symptoms and possible contact with people who are COVID-19-positive upon entering the practice.

  • If you are showing signs or symptoms of illness or if you’ve had exposure to COVID-19, we will ask you to reschedule your appointment.

  • Only scheduled patients will be allowed into the office unless the patient requires the care of a guardian or caregiver.

  • There will be no physical contact with patients except for treatment.

In-office measures:

  • We provide hand sanitizer at our entrance and throughout the office.

  • We’ve removed magazines, children’s toys, and other items that are difficult to disinfect.

  • We clean and sanitize common areas throughout the day.

Your treatment and care:

  • We provide the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)for all clinical and administrative team members. These include N95 (or equivalent) masks, face shields, gowns, gloves, and other protective equipment as required.

  • Treatment rooms are completely sanitized before patients have access – extra time is scheduled between appointments to allow for the thorough cleaning and disinfection of treatment rooms and equipment.

  • All treatment rooms have doors or barriers and air purifiers.

  • During treatment, our team will strictly follow guidelines set by the CDC, Public Health and our dental governing bodies.

Checking out after your appointment:

  • We have installed plexiglass screens at reception counters to protect patients and team members.

  • We prefer contactless payment; otherwise, terminals are wiped down after each use.

  • We no longer accept cash and cheques.

Helpful tips for you to consider

  • Please don’t arrive too early for your appointment. Also, expect slightly longer wait times between patients while we disinfect and prepare your treatment room.

  • Avoid double-booking yourself; leave time on either side of your appointment in case of delays.

  • Reduce time spent in the operatory after your treatment has been completed; head to the front when you are finished.

  • Please send any questions and concerns you have by phone or email before your visit to ensure timeliness during your appointment; top priority will be given to treatment completion and addressing any immediate dental concerns at the time of your appointment.

The safety of our patients and staff are always paramount, and these measures have been implemented at the recommendation of our governing bodies at the RCDSO and the CDHO. As measures change, we will keep you updated.

*In the event all anticipated treatment cannot be completed in the allotted time, your treatment will need to be completed at a separate visit, and another appointment will be made.

Our first priority is the safety of our patients and staff. Our entire dental team is committed to ensuring your safety and comfort in receiving dental care from our office.

We look forward to continuing to reconnect with our patients and providing for your dental care needs.
